Little is know about Elijah Harrod, who is the most likely candidate for building this house sometime around 1857. Delicate bargeboards running beneath the eaves and an elaborately carved wooden porch lend Gothic details to this small brick home. The transom over the doorway, which is located in the center of the home. Projecting from either side of the roof is a dormer window, which are most likely much later additions as more living space was desired.
