|Address:||203 Ward Street|
|Architectural Style:||American Foursquare|
|Year Built:||c. 1910|
The architecture and construction techniques used in this house suggest a date of the early-20th century, most likely sometime between 1905 and 1910. The Foursquare style is very similar in mass to Italianate architecture, though detailing such as cornice brackets and decorative hoodmolds over the windows are omitted. Another feature of Foursquare architecture is the placement of a dormer window in the roof, typically on the front facade when there is only one. Slender corner pilasters with square capitals can bee seen on all four corners of the house. A wide porch stretches the entire length of the first floor, supported by narrow columns. The front entrance is defined by sidelights and transom, adding to the slightly classical feel of the house.
