A soaring two-story rectangular frame structure, this house shares features with the Italianate style even though it no longer retains its decorative elements such as cornice brackets or hoodmolds over the windows. However, the windows do retain original four pane frames, with two panes in the upper and two in the lower sashes. The low pitched hip roof and central chimney are common features found in Italianate architecture of the middle class. A small porch on the south side of the building has a shed roof supported by delicate spindle columns.
