|Address:||409 Chase Avenue|
|Architectural Style:||Vernacular; Italianate|
|Year Built:||c. 1875|
This two-story vernacular Italianate house no longer retains cornice brackets or other detailing that is characteristic of this architectural style except for the overhanging hip roof and symmetrical facade. The enclosed front porch, which is the most prominent feature, is not original to the house. It was most likely added sometime in the early-20th century. The two-story rear addition is also of recent date, but it was constructed to be sympathetic in design with the original portion of the house.
